Wednesday, November 19, 2008 Las Vegas, Nevada; Coast Spas Manufacturing was presented with the ‘Gold Metal’ for portable Hot Tub installations at the 2008 Awards of Excellence ceremony by ‘the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals’ (APSP). These awards recognize and reward installations of pools and hot tubs which showcase the most beautiful and creative work in the industry.

The Mandalay Bay Convention center in Las Vegas, NV played host to the 2008 APSP International Awards of Excellence show held in conjunction with the International Pool | Spa| Patio Expo on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. The planet’s top pools, spas and water features were highlighted in a spectacular showcase of the best building and design in the industry. The first competition under the auspices of the National Spa & Pool Institute (NSPI, which is now APSP) occurred in 1970. The competition is open only to APSP member builders, designers, and service and retail firms. Many hundreds of entries are submitted each year, representing member firms across the North America and around the world.
The Gold Medal was awarded to Coast Spas Manufacturing Inc. for the design and installation of their ‘Cascade’ model hot tub in Gibson’s Landing, British Columbia. The Infinity features a full negative edge on the front side making it the only one of its kind in the Spa Industry. On the hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Client wanted to be able to relax in the warm water of his hot tub while still having the unobstructed view of the ocean. Not only does the Infinity blend seamlessly into the landscape it also provides the Hydrotherapy the Client required.
