Coast Spas Featured On ABC’s Popular “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” Program
Langley, BC. (March 29, 2005) –- the leading innovator in portable home hot tubs, today announced that their Mirage hot tub was featured on ABC Television’s immensely popular Extreme Makeover Home Edition program. The 11’ x 7’8” x 42” Platinum Series Mirage debuted on the March 27th and 28th episodes in an extreme makeover of the Leomiti-Higgins family’s home.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition is a ratings rich reality series that combines a deserving family and their rundown home with several opinionated designers and an army of workers and suppliers to create a new home environment in a race against time.
This recent episode detailed the conversion of the Leomiti-Higgins family. In 2004 the five Higgins children, aged 14 to 21, lost their mother after a brave fight with lung cancer. Three months later there father passed away due to heart failure. The kids used the last of their money to pay for their parents’ funeral costs. In addition to going through this devastating loss, they had to figure out a way to stay together as a family.
When the Leomiti family, who were once neighbors to the Higgins, learned of their loss, they knew in their hearts what they had to do. Phil and Loki Leomiti brought the 5 Higgins children into their home to live with their family… to become part of their family. The 1269-sq ft Leomiti home now had to accommodate 11!
Enter the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Team; who in 7 rain filled days made an unbelievable transformation as they completely rebuilt the home to accommodate the entire Leomiti-Higgins family.
