Eagle website hooks millions worldwide, and Coast is proud supporter
Langley, British Columbia - June 20, 2006 - For several weeks this spring, viewers around the world logged onto the website of Canadian biologist Doug Carrick and his live backyard camera monitoring a pair of nesting eagles.
Although everyone was disappointed when neither of the couple’s eggs was able to produce a chick, the site broke new ground in both man’s ability to observe nature (in this case, through a camouflaged camera) and sheer numbers of viewers. More than 10 million page hits were recorded since the site launched.
Coast Spas has been supporting the Live Eagle Eye Cam site with a paid advertisement on the site, which has resulted in visits to our own site increasing sixfold to record highs — luckily coinciding with our release of our new website you’re browsing now.
We’ll continue to support Doug Carrick as he installs more hidden cameras at eagle nesting sites in his home province of British Columbia.
